Nice

Nice little drawing man. Her eyes are kinda creepy, but really interesting too. I like em, they remind me of Eureka's from Eureka 7. Also, i dunno if you're interested in doing an alternate version of this, but since her right hand is wrapped around her shoulder, you made it look really fluid and I think a few extra touches could make it her body in a straight jacket. haha, I dunno just thought i'd throw that out there. Thought it could go well with the title, (this image works with the title well with the title already too) maybe making a statement about how people in asylums are contained and censored.

Syringes responds:

Not a bad idea at all, I never thought of that, thanks man! Ill think about that next time I work on something, I might not rework this one since I didnt save it as a psd D:

Also, I love how you say the style was like Eureka because I was kind of going for that style : D

Nice Change of Pace

This is pretty sweet! Usually I see lots of fan art or character illustrations in the art portal (which isn't a a bad thing) but I like how you're mixing things up a bit of this. I really like the color choice

Chin and Fireball

Looks pretty good! I like how the composition is very nice and smooth. Everything flows together well. Good choice of colors as well! The two things I advise working on though are: the chin, it looks like it got lost in her shirt. Like maybe she has it tucked in it? And the fire ball is nice, but judging from the rest of this piece (this is a compliment of how awesome this looks), you could push it a little more with a couple colors and make it more interesting by changing up the shape a bit. Both other than that, looks great! Can't wait to see more of your work!

laser-m responds:

Thanks for the advices :D I made the corrections. ;)

Crazy Flexible

Looks great man! I love your style, you get a really good sense of motion from the piece. The only thing that concerns me though, is the devil's arm with the sword. I'm no genius at anatomy but his arm looks dislocated and I don't think any person could swing like that. But he's the devil... so i guess different rules apply to him. Haha, the overarching swing adds a lot to the piece so I can understand why you did it like that though. Well anyways, good work! Lookin forward to more from ya!

Voinaimir responds:

Ah! That's a good point, thanks for the feedback!

A little darker

Love the composition! I think it works well, but the only thing that bothers me are the colors. I like the variety, I personally think there may be too many goin on, but like I said, the composition still works well. I just think darker shades of some of the colors would've made the whole flow just a bit better. But that's just me. Keep up the good work! Lookin forward to more!

Ever read Hellboy before?

I ask that because, the eyes remind me of the eye that Mignola (creator of Hellboy, just in case you were unaware) handles eye by filling them in one color. I like it a lot, and it works well. Also, the hatching looks awesome! Nice use of that, and speaking of nice uses, I'm diggin the texture as well. And to top things off, excellent color choices. I like your take with green wings, I always see people go generic and use purple or black for demon wings, it compliments the orange really well. I'll quit rambling now. Nice work! Keep it up! Lookin forward to more!

Impkid responds:

Yeah i have! it's one of my favorites.
And about the wings, i think exactly how you do, people always use the same colors.

Good, but a little jagged

Hey man, to start off, I wanna this is awesome! The shading look nice, and your use of texture is very nice as well, also your interpretations of the characters are nice and refreshing. I like how even though Yoshi looks a lot more dinosaur like you were still able to keep his goofy/funny loving personality. The only gripes I had with this are minor things, like I think Toad being so close to Mario doesn't quite work, I'd give him more room to breathe if that makes sense. Also, Mario's chin and the right side of Toad's face look just a little too jagged to me. Looks like you have an angular style after seeing this, (which is awesome! mine's kinda angular too) but yeah those two areas just don't look as natural because of how much of an angle it is. Hopefully that made sense, and keep up the good work man! Looks great and I lood forward to seeing more stuff from ya! I'm diggin you're style

Tatsukamba responds:

wow, no one had ever taken the time to critique my art, I appreciate that because everyone learns from mistakes, thanks for telling me which were my mistakes, I will try to do my style less jagged, thank you very much for your comment! =)

Good use of pen

My favorite part of this is your use of the pen, gives it that nice furry feel/texture. I think if you wanted you could've probably pushed it a little more, like let loose a little more ya know? And some of the marks look they were just throw in, make sure each one has a purpose. Other than that, good stuff man, keep it up! Also, good muscular anatomy in its left arm.

Nice Work

Nice work man, has a lot going on to keep the viewer's eye moving. I was wondering, what media did you use to make this?

UnderARock responds:

acrylic on canvas, used posca markers for all the black outlines :)

Just a Mouse?

Man, that's pretty impressive that you did this with just a mouse! I also really like the color scheme you used for this. Keep up the good work!
