Good, but a little jagged

Hey man, to start off, I wanna this is awesome! The shading look nice, and your use of texture is very nice as well, also your interpretations of the characters are nice and refreshing. I like how even though Yoshi looks a lot more dinosaur like you were still able to keep his goofy/funny loving personality. The only gripes I had with this are minor things, like I think Toad being so close to Mario doesn't quite work, I'd give him more room to breathe if that makes sense. Also, Mario's chin and the right side of Toad's face look just a little too jagged to me. Looks like you have an angular style after seeing this, (which is awesome! mine's kinda angular too) but yeah those two areas just don't look as natural because of how much of an angle it is. Hopefully that made sense, and keep up the good work man! Looks great and I lood forward to seeing more stuff from ya! I'm diggin you're style

It's a pretty cool design, I wish there was a little more to it and then I think it would make an awesome t shirt! I really like your choice of colors in this one. I have one question though, is that a gundam helmet she's wearing?

yeah thats a gundam helmet...ive envisioned a valkyrie in my mind but decided to go mech and gundamesque..heh..anyways tnx mate...well it was scrapped from a certain tshirt website....so yeah...thats about it....

Nice texture

Looks like you added a nice variety of textures in your piece, I like that and I think it works well. I really like the design of your robot and his gun is freakin sweet! The only thing I thought needed a little bit of improving were the buildings. Something about the way they are arranged gives off a little too crowded feeling. I know it's supposed to feel crowded since it's a city but it seems a little goofy. But that's just me being nitpicky. Good work though! Also, I love that epic feel it gives off too.

well the idea is that the city of this planet is the slum section the pipes are the sewer/chemicals going through the buildings, like youd have one go right through your room and the government is so corrupt on the planet that they would rather have you die from radiation then work on the problems. They tryed to kill off the son of a wealthy man who was working to make the area better but all they did was create a hero, his body gone but his mind intact he now is placed into the new body of this robot. and yeah cliche story but its the idea behind him, and i love revolvers dont know why lol.

It's an interesting piece and I like it. I think its eyes are awesome but also kinda creepy haha. So good stuff, keep it up, the only question I have is what is the red and white checkered thing on the bottom?

That's his shoe. I kind of improvised on his shoe when I was coloring him in. Looks like a....heck I don't know.

Interesting

Interesting character, haven't seen too many others like it. I think you did an excellent job with her stance, very dynamic. The only thing I think I would've done different is the energy on her hands. I feel like it should be a little brighter like by adding more white maybe? Other than that, good work man, keep it up!

Well in the story her ability is to make things Decay so thats why I chose that. If I could I'd post what I have written in the story on here....

Nice job! Also, surprised me a lot. I saw the thumbnail and I was like, ooh a Squall fanart, and then I saw this... and was like whoa! A female Squall fanart! Haha, Good work with the details, I think it looks exactly what Squall would look like as a female. I know the point of the piece was to put the focus on She-Squall, but I think a little background would've been nice. Overall, good work! Keep it up!

well, drawing Squall in the normal way was kinda boring for me, so i've made some changes.
it was mainly inspired by a cosplay, so i've decided to focus only on the character(usually i don't use backgrounds).

Seems unfinished

The hero's armor is awesome! And I have mixed feelings with the dragon wing villain guy. I think it's interesting how you put him out of the picture to give a feeling of mysteriousness. But at the same time. I really wanna see what he looks like! Haha, but I guess him being out of the picture conveys the message better. Overall, the composition seems like it's unfinished at some parts like the background. It's good stuff though, keep it up!

And as for the meaning, I agree with you. I'm a Christian, and I've seen there are bad Christians (and other religious figures) out there doing terrible deeds "all for the glory of God". And yeah automatically labeling people never has good results.

Yep, usually when I get to backgrounds I'm thinking something along the lines of, "I'm freaking done with this thing already, let it end!!" That said, I'm really happy that people have been able to identify the wing as a wing... for a while I was afraid people would think it's some sort of demonic tent stalking the hero...

I'm also really happy that you weren't offended. When dealing with something as touchy as one's spirituality or religion... I have to engage very scalpel like logic to get at the things I do and don't like without that blossoming over to the rest...
